Amazon Apologizes For Its Web Hosting Service Fault

Amazon the online retailer has apologized for the fault in its web hosting service EC2, which knocked out many well known websites. Last Thursday’s temporay suspension caused several sites like Foursquare, Quora and Reddit to go off line for some days.

Companies who don’t have their own data centers, EC2 provide them processing power and storage. In this matter apology came after a week of silence. Now Amazon is providing its user a 10 day cloud services credit despite they were affected or not. Cloud computing is a fast growing business and nowadays it is becoming essential to increase number of business and individuals, using it for remote storage data.

By this individuals and businesses get the ability to rent virtual storage space. Cloud providers such as Amazon host websites and other data in servers.

On Amazon’s website a statement states, “We know how critical our services are to our customers’ businesses and we will do everything we can to learn from this event and use it to drive improvement across our services.”
