Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta is very delighted as his team started their campaign this season with a 3-0 victory over Racing Santander.

The stylish player played a crucial role in the game as he helped in the goal scored by Lionel Messi and then he himself scored a fabulous goal. He is happy that the starting game was perfect for them.

The Spanish player said, “It was the first game, and we could not ask for much more. I am delighted that we won. Rather than look to others it is necessary that we concentrate on ourselves. The result was perfect and we are feeling good.”

He believes that Barcelona’s new player David Villa has an excellent technique and has high hopes from him. He said, “He (David Villa) plays the game well, moves well, goes into space, and has the goal in his sights. He is a goal scorer and having him is a very big leap in quality. I hope he scores a lot of goals.”

He considers Javier Mascherano joining their club very beneficial for them. He also said, “(Mascherano joining) is a great boost. He is a leader in the Argentina team, and he will come in handy because he not only defends, but has great ball skills. It is a high profile move for us.”
