Apple Won First Round of Fight with Elan
Over touchpad technology patent battle with Elan Microelectronic Corp, Apple Inc won the first round. The ITC reported that Judge Paul Luckern said in the initial decision; there was no violation of the Elan patent.
The full International Trade Commission must now rule on whether to accept or reject the decision of its administrative law judge. The complete decision is expected in August.
On the case and first initial decision an Apple spokeswomen declined to comment.
The company Elan filed lawsuit against apple that its devices iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad are using its technology and asked for the ITC to ban sale of all device in the United States.
