Asian Games : Somdev (Tennis Player) In Semi-Final Of Men’s Singles

Guangzhou: India’s Somdev Devvarman is now ready to assure India at least a bronze in the semifinal of the men’s singles as he defeated Zhang Ze (Chinese tennis player) in the quarterfinal of the men’s singles on Sunday.

The match lasted two hours at the Aoti Tennis Center and Somdev beat Zhang by scoring 6-4.

In the semi-final, Somdev will face the other quarterfinal winners, Japan’s Tatsuma Ito and Thailand’s Danai Udomchoke.

But another Indian Tennis player, Karan Rastogi went down fighting to top seed Dennis Istomin of Uzbekistan in the men’s singles tennis quarterfinals of the Asian games.
