Australia Level the Series After a Nail Biting Finish

Australia did all, it could, to secure a win on the final day of the 2nd test to level the series. It was a great win for Australia considering the long list of losses in the close encounters.
Australia was almost out of the game when South Africa piled a lead of over 300 in their second innings, thanks to a superb knock by Hashim Amla (105).
Chasing a huge target, in the fourth innings, Australia lost two early wickets. It was going from bad to worse and looked all curtains for them till the young and talented left hander, Usman Khawaja(65), along with the experienced Ricky Ponting (62)steadied the ship with healthy partnership for the 3rd wicket.
South Africa banged back into the game with the wickets of U. Khawaja and M. Clark(2). South Africa soon nailed in deeper with the wicket of Ricky Ponting and Mike Hussey (39).
It left B. Haddin(55) and M. Johnson (40 n.o.) to chase down rest 95 run deficit. Leaving behind this year’s batting horrors both showed the great composure to come with the match winning partnership of 72. There was another twist towards the end and it could have been worse for Australia, had D. Steyn held on to a return catch of the eighteen year old, Cummins (13), who had a dream start of his career that won him man-of-the-match.
