One baby has offered signs of hope in the midst of the wreckage of the tsunami in Indonesia. The baby has survived this horrifying natural calamity which claimed hundreds of lives. The baby is 2-months-old boy. He was found in a storm drain on Pakai Island. Both of his parents could not survive the tsunami. This was reported by the Press Association.

The baby has got scratches on his face and is suffering from fluid in his lungs. He has been admitted to a hospital. The baby has been named Imanual Tegar. The word “Tegar” means “tough” in Indonesian language. He is recuperating well in a humidified crib.

In the beginning of this week, a baby of 18 months’ age was found in a clump of trees on the island of Pagai Selatan. The discoverer was a 10 year old boy. This story was reported by the Associaiton Press. His parents also died in the tsunami. He has been taken to a health center.

These two babies have survived the dreadful disaster but not many were so lucky. Evience of death is there all around. Dead bodies are strewn across the beaches. Indonesia’s medical infrastructure is currently struggling to cope with injured, sick and wounded. Many of them have recently lost their loved ones to the natural calamity.
