BMW To Expand Luxury Motorcycles In India

The BMW is all set to extend its luxury motorcycle segment in India. The BMW India could soon launch few luxury models in the country, said president BMW India Andreas Schaaf. The final decision would be taken in another month.
Schaaf said that, “We are currently investigating whether it’s a good idea or not to enter the Indian market. No final decision has been taken yet but the investigation would be over in the next couple of weeks.”

To maintain the luxury motorcycle market of India, Company has also chalked out strategies said Schaaf. He also said that the company would invest Rs 70 Crore in next two years, in the wholly owned facility in Chennai. The current capacity of the company is 3000 units which will increase by 5400 units.
The BMW has invested Rs 110 crore for the capability growth in India since 2007. Frank-Peter Arndt member of BMW AG board said that, “India is a market that holds great potential for the future for us and is a building block in our global market offensive.”
