Khandhar : A suicide bomber with explosives hidden under turban entered mosque where hundreds had gathered to pay respects to half brother of hamid karzai. He was assassinated on Tuesday. In the mosque attack, three people were killed besides bomber. There are reported fears that khandhar was entering into fear because of death of half brother of karzai.

The mosque bombing and assassination which have come together have raised fears of vulnerability in the minds of people because of Taliban. There will be problems about the lack of leadership after the death of Ahmed wali karzai. Sardar Mohammad, a trusted bodyguard of the one killed, is the shooter. Taliban has neither denied nor accepted responsibility for the attack but has been uncomfortable that it has taken place in the place of worship.

The chief of the religious council of khandhar was also killed in attack. There are reports bomber attacked church alongwith clergymen. The chief of the intelligence of khandhar said, “We respect those people who wear turbans and did not check the turban as a sign of respect, but he betrayed this respect and hid explosives in his turban.”  There are reports tha deaths are caused by IEDs similar to land mines.
