As per UK officials, Silicon implants made by a French company don’t pose any threat of Cancer. Soon, The authorities will decide whether women should remove these implants supplied by Poly Implant Prothese(PIP).

Around 40,000 British women have got these implants. As per the agency, there are no sufficient links to conclude that these implants may cause cancer or other physical problems as such.

But if they feel that implants have been ruptured, they should immediately consult the doctor.

“BAPRAS has not yet seen the evidence demonstrating that health problems may have been caused by PIP breast implants and will fully assess any that becomes available.”, said BAPRAS( British Association for Plastic , Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeons).

There should be interaction between the surgeon and patient to check problems, if any. So, women should not panic but be ready for precautionary measures, if required.

Actually, doubt occurred because data reveal high failure rates with these implants. A special committee was also formed by French Authorities to take stock of the matter.

8 cases of cancer were reported last year in women having these implants. But now study shows that these implants were not necessarily the only cause of the problem.
