Chilly Europe Shivering Due To Gas Shortage From Russia
It’s not an emergency situation, till chilly weather in Europe is becoming pricklier due to shortage in the supply of gas from Russia. History always, many believe, repeats itself. Is Europe going face the same crisis situation as in 2009? The entire land of Europe is shivering with heavy snowfall.
An EU Energy spokeswoman said, that huge fall in temperature which is as low as -35C in Eastern Europe is solely responsible for the higher scores of deaths.

She added that this biting cold winds along with snow are blowing fast through Italy, France and a greater part of the UK. Weather forecast department has put all these places including the surrounding of Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Austria, Greece and Italy on high alert. But, she asserts that it’s not an emergency situation.
Conscious people think that the sudden drop in gas supply from Russia is worsening the situation. It’s repeating the crisis fear of 2009 when the supply was cut between Moscow and Kiev resulting in a scary situation in the European countries. Countries like Serbia, Bosnia and Bulgaria are fully dependent on the gas supply from Russia via Ukraine.
Gasprom, the Russian gas monopoly giant assured that they are trying to do everything possible to take the control of this situation.
Ukraine in the meantime has reported that 100 people are killed by these biting chilly situations. Most of the homeless patients are asked not to be discharged from hospital and the authorities have set up new tent to shelter these homeless providing heating and food.
On the other hand the Polish Interior Minister reported that eight people have died out of cold while the other two due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Rome has experienced some rare snowfall with Venice’s canal getting frozen all over. 20 more people were died out in Romania for the same reason and hundreds of schools remained closed. Paris is trying much to cram as many homeless people as possible to provide shelter and food.
UK’s weather department prophesied temperature will go down along with heavy frost. Most parts of England especially Wales, Southern and central areas are likely to suffer from this shivering weather.
