Clean Chit of Hillary Clinton: Pakistan Was Not Aware of Osama

Islamabad: There were frayed tempers between the two nations because of capture and killing of Osama in the compound of abbotabad. The secretary of the state of US, Hilary Clinton has tried to calm down the issue by saying that there is not clear cut evidence that the top intelligence and military establishment of Pakistan was aware of the hideout of Osama bin laden in the heavily fortified location in Abbotabad near to the military academy.
Clinton told the reporters, “The US had absolutely no evidence that anyone at the highest level of the Pakistani government knew the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden.” This was told by her to the reporters in the city of Islamabad after she met the military of Pakistan and the civilian brass. She further said the leadership of Pakistan had given a clear assurance as to how the mastermind of 9/11 was hiding in Pakistan. She added that her return to Washington with more commitment to the pak US leadership.
The secretary of state Hillary Clinton said the termination of Bin laden had put the two countries on the turning point of the relationship but further added Pakistan and US had to do more in order to fight the militancy of Islam and also extremism associated with it. She further said the visit was important and a turning point has reached.
Clinton said, “This was an especially important visit because we have reached a turning point. Osama Bin Laden is dead but al-Qaida and his syndicate of terror remain a serious threat to us both.”
Clinton told that the US cannot and should not solve the problems of Pakistan. She further continued it was upto Pakistan to solve the matter. In order to mollify the anger of Pakistan over unilateral raid in the town of Abbotabad, Clinton acknowledged the sacrifices made by people and military of Pakistan. The secretary of the state landed in Islamabad in Friday despite a tight security.
Because of Clinton visit, no traffic was allowed in the road which led to the capital city of Islamabad. There she was joined by the admiral Mike mullan who is the chairman of joint staff. The two met pak president Zardari, PM Yusuf gilani, chief of army prervez Kiyani and ISI chief Shuja pasha. The visit of the secretary of state came a day after US announced withdrawal of some troops from Islamabad.
