In the present times, computer experts are testing programs and this offers complete protect against virus. This is called the swarming intelligence and the wake forest university in the northern California in collaboration with PPNL is doing the research.

The professor of computer science, errin fulp, at the wake forest university is training digital ant army. They will make the power grid loose and seek the computer viruses who want to play havoc in the system.

In case the approach proves a success, there is a wide range of applications and it can protect anything which is connected to SCADA. These are the computer systems which control everything from sewer management to water, manufacturing to mass transit systems.

Fulp works as a scientist in the PNNL in Washington. He is on the verge of next step in digital ant technology developed in collaboration. It is a promising approach and was named by scientific American magazine as “ten technologies that have the power to change our lives.”
