David Beckham Hopeful To Make A Comeback For England
Midfielder David Beckham is hopeful to make a comeback for England team after his fantastic efforts for his club LA Galaxy.
The stylish player contributed by scoring in his team’s 2-1 victory against Dallas recently. This made them win the 2010 MLS Supporters’ Shield.
The 35 year old player has played in 115 matches for England. He got an injury prior to the World Cup. Since then he has not represented the national team.
Beckham is confident that Coach Fabio Capello will give him a chance due to his outstanding performance for Galaxy.
The star player said, “He is a fair man. I think if he believes that any player that can play for England is playing well, is passionate about the game and is in good form, then it gives everyone a chance.”
He believes he has great passion to represent his country and really enjoys playing the game. He remarked, “Everyone knows how passionate I have been about playing for my country over the years so, yeah, I would love to continue to play. Whether I do or not, that is obviously down to the manager and myself to perform. But, of course, I’d always love to play for my country.”
