David Villa Gives A Superb Performance As Spain Beats Czech Republic

Granada: David Villa scored a superb double as Spain beat Czech Republic with a score of 2-1 in the Group I Qualifier of Euro 2012 on Friday. With this performance Villa became record goal scorer for his nation in all time.

He and Raul were at same level having 44 goals before the kick off. Villa hit two goals in the second half to win the game for his side.

It is important to note that Spain were trailing at one stage as Jaroslav Plasil opened the scoring for the losing side with a good shot from the left foot.

Villa remarked, “Today’s opponents were tough and the match was difficult. They opened the scoring and complicated our task.”

He added, “I am glad to have scored these goals, especially those that were important.”

Villa does not want to stop here, and is keen to do well in the next game of his team versus Lithuania.
