The death toll due to tsunami in the western part of Sumatra has risen to a high crossing a toll of 112 people. As many as 109 people are still missing.

Environmental reports said:

The tsunami hit two islands of Pagai Selatan Mentawai and Pagai Utara Mentawai in West Sumatra after the 7.2 magnitude quake.

Based on the data of crisis center in Padang, as many as 112 people were killed, 109 are missing and 520 others took refuge.

Meanwhile, 579 houses are heavily damaged and 300 got mild damage.
