Dhoni Believes He Has Got Players Who Deliver In Tough Situations
Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Tuesday gave the credit of his success to his team mates who delivered in tough situations.
He said, “It’s the team that has made me a successful captain. Nothing would have been possible had not my teammates delivered when it mattered the most.”
He added, “I have got some great players who back each other, help each other and that really helps the cause of the team.”
He is now aiming the coming series against New Zealand and then against South Africa.
When asked to comment on the chances of India in the coming World Cup next year he remarked, “’Neither do I live in the past nor do I look too far ahead. As for the World Cup, it is still four months away. It’s too early to think about it now.”
However, he is hoping that players have good fitness without any injuries for the mega event. He also said, “I only hope that the top players are all available for selection and there are no major injury worries.”
