Diabetes Can Affect Wages And Jobs For People
The effect of diabetes is known to almost everybody but now the research says that it can also hamper wages as well for young people.

These findings were published in the journal Health Affairs. Researchers included that school and college going children with diabetes have high dropout rates also.
They examined around 15000 people in four categories. The first category included students from grade 7 to 12. Researchers interviewed them for approximately a year. Diabetes prevalence ratio was found to be around 2.7 percent in them.
After going through the various factors, researchers found that students who had diabetes left the school earlier compared to students not having this disease.
Once, after completing the school, they entered the working world, they found restrictions in employment opportunities also. There was a huge reduction in their earnings also.
Even researchers say that if parents are diabetic, that also hampers chances of child in future. Diabetes may put them in job lock condition.
“Diabetes has a marked effect on schooling and earnings early in life,” said lead author Jason Fletcher of Yale University in a news release, “yet these are relatively unexamined implications of this disease.”
