Diego Forlan Believes Former Coach Flores Had Problems With Him

Atletico Madrid forward Diego Forlan expressed his anger towards Coach Quique Sanchez Flores, by saying he never hopes to see him again.
The Uruguayan ace had a sad year after joining the Atletico team in 2007. He lost a place in starting XI towards latter phase of this campaign.
Forlan condemned the attitude of Flores towards him. He revealed the coach did not act truthfully in regard to his position in the squad.
Forlan remarked, “He had a problem with me, it was not the other way around. I realised there was nothing to do when one day he told me one thing and did another.”
He said, “He had two different speeches and it was not the first time, but the hundreth. He, with his attitudes, was showing me everything.”
When asked how he would react if he meets Flores tomorrow in an elevator, Forlan commented “I would ignore him.”
He added, “In the last week and a half (of the season), after an argument, we would not even greet each other. I remember that, on my birthday, everyone congratulated me… except him. I had no problems with him, but he started not greeting me and I did the same.”
As Flores is no longer with Atletico, Forlan is now motivated to excel. He declared he would remain at this club.
The striker also said, “I have two more years on my contract, I have said it a hundred times, and I am really eager to be there next season.”
