Diet Sodas May Lead to Weight Gain

If you are on a spree of losing weight, artificial sweeteners found in diet sodas may sabotage your attempt. According to the data presented at American Diabetes Association, artificial sweeteners contribute to increasing risk of type 2 diabetes.
In a study conducted by researchers from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, around 474 older adults were observed. After enrollment, 3 follow ups were done in which intake of diet soda and its impact on waist circumference and weight was done .Researchers aimed to link intake of diet soda and weight gain.
