Dirk Nowitzki performed superbly scoring 33 points as well as 11 rebounds to help Dallas beat Portland with a score of 103-96 on Thursday at Rose Garden. With this result Dallas won the first-round series 4-2. Jason Terry also had a good game scoring 22 points as well as eight assists.

Gerald Wallace fought hard for Portland scoring 32 points as well as 12 rebounds and LaMarcus Aldridge added 24 points as well as 10 boards. But this could not avoid the defeat of Trail Blazers.

Rick Carlisle, Coach of Dallas, remarked, “We played possession by possession, as the game went on, we gained momentum. They made a run in the fourth. We’ve had teams make runs at us all year, but there wasn’t going to be a miracle tonight.”

Dallas now play against the Lakers in Los Angeles on Monday.
