For Every Endorsement, Saina Nehwal’s Brand Value Nears Rs1 crore
The telecom company, Airtel has successfully entered its name in the list of corporate companies that have signed on the world No. 3 player (Saina Nehwal) as a brand ambassador. Saina endorsement with the telecom has reached her value near Rs 1 crore per endorsement.
Talking with media, Saina agrees her popularity has increased her brand equity. She reavealed “Yes, after winning the titles, my fee has gone up and I am getting a lot of endorsements now. I am happy that there is demand being created for sportspersons other than cricketers.”
Saina was charging around Rs. 50,00000 for per endorsement, is now able to charge Rs. 1 crore for every deal. According to industry analysts, two specific reasons have been seen behind her increased value. After winning the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games, the value of Saina endorsement has increased. Also, the rate has raised because of her hat-trick of wins at the India Open, Singapore Open and the Indonesia Open Super Series this year.
The world No. 3 player, Nehwal is in a great demand. Many big companies want to associate with her. Nehwal has already signed up deal with Airtel and four firms operating in areas such as food and infrastructure.
