England On Verge Of Whitewash Despite Being Dravid Ton

Rahul Dravid’s sensational century goes in vain at The Oval ground as England is now on the verge of winning the 4 test match series by 4-0. At the end of the fourth day play, India was on 129/3 in their second innings, Sachin Tendulkar batting on 35 (not out) and night watchman Amit Mishra on 8 (not out).
Earlier, England had amassed a massive 591/6 with the career best innings of Ian Bell and the centurion Kevin Pietersen.
In reply to this gigantic score, India started their first innings very badly, and on the score of 103 they had lost their half of the team and ended on 300 with the defiant century from the Wall, Rahul Dravid (146 not out). He said, “It is not frustrating in the sense that I know that they (Indian cricketers) have put in the efforts. The guys have tried, practiced hard and I know the efforts they have put in the nets”.
He further added, “Sometimes result haven’t gone our way, to be honest, but guys have tried their best”.
But in the second innings, Sachin seems to be very confident and at his best form in this ongoing series to tackle England’s hope for whitewash.
On the other hand, Graeme Swann will be looking to spin the ball more effectively to finish the series by 4-0 as quickly as possible on Monday.
