Felipe Calderon: The New TV Adventure Guide

Mexican President Felipe Calderon is literally attempting to give much needed boost to the lethargic tourism industry of Mexico. In a collection of TV programs which are supposed to be broadcasted in the month of September, the president is deliberately trying to erase the bad reputation of his country by coming into sight as an adventure TV guide.
By accompanying Peter Greenberg, “The Royal Tour” host, the president puts on Jones style hat and goes down a lash into 375 meters deep (1000 foot) Sotano de las Golondrinas cave. He also led Greenberg into cenote in Yucatan, known as hollow lake.
Robort Martinez, Tourism Department spokesperson, suggests that Felipe Calderon is planning to be present at the premiere show of the 30 minutes video. At the time of the adventurous journey Felipe exchanges the hat for a helmet (designed headlamp) for the exploration of the cave. The footage also captures the president signaling “OK” to the flashing camera.
Felipe joked as saying, “I have other duties that are more dangerous”. John Ackerman said, “That’s always been his objective, the whole macho thing”. A congressman of the Leftish Labor Party Di Costanzo noted, “We see this as a promotion of Felipe Calderon’s own image, for the benefit of his own party, rather than an institutional image of the country as a tourism destination”.
