To Fight Al-Shabab: The Kenyan Forces Cross Border of Somalia

Somalia: As per the official source, the forces of Kenya have crossed to the territory of Somalia to counter fight al- shabab militants. The spokesperson of the police has however denied the reports. In a raid near the Libyan border town, twelve people were killed.
The reports say, “Kenya supports the government of Somalia and has also trained its forces. This is probably this first time the officers of Kenya have crossed the border”.
The general service unit of the police carried the raid because of the recent militant attack on the side of border. Previously, al- shabab threatened to attack Kenya but so far none of the attack has been carried out.
Al shabab was behind the double attack on the capital of Uganda, Kampala and these claimed 76 lives. The outfit has links with the terror outfit al Qaida controlling the central and southern Somalia.
The government backed by 9000 troops of African union from Burundi and Uganda has gained the footing in the capital, Mogadishu.
Somalia became a war zone for 2O years now and the last operating government was toppled in the year 1991.
