Finally Facebook Launches Its Most Awaited Video Chat
Finally it is again Facebook with its new video chat facility for its user. It seems that it is a firm answer to the Google+1. This is the result of integration effort of Skype and facebook. Facebook is striking a deal to strengthen its role as a core for communications.
The agreement, was proclaimed by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the company’s Palo Alto, California headquarters on Wednesday. This also shows the inclination of Facebook with Microsoft which is in process to acquire it in $8.5 billion.
Mark Zuckerberg announced that presently facebook has 750 million users and collaboration with skype would give a real boost to its user base which is presently 145 million.
The move of facebook is sensed as an answer to Google+1, a week old social networking service of Google. It has really heaten up the competitive heat in the market.
Most of the functions and features of Google+’s social networking site is similar to Facebook, but Google was a step ahead because of its new video conferencing facility. The video chatting facility of Google+1 allows 10 people to conference well.
Facebook’s new offer, which initially is offering to one-to-one video chat, is sure to benefit Microsoft. Presently Microsoft has small shares in facebook. Microsoft will be buying Skype in May.
Microsoft is trying to muscle up Google’s web territory with its search engine Bing. Perhaps Skype will help it, broadening its web based properties and reach.
Presently skype allow its user to make Internet phone calls and even video calls free of cost. Recently it has also launched its premium services. Skype was launched in 2003
