French President Nicolas Sarkozy Will Have Trip of Japan Today

Singapore: The president of France, Nicholas sarkozy, will make a trip of Japanese capital, Tokyo in capacity as the chairman of the G8 group of highly developed nations.

The foreign minister of japan, Takeaki Matsmoto said, “The president of France is expected to deliver a message of solidarity as far as the international community is concerned. He will further announce an assistance package for japan because of the devastating earthquake. He will further have talks with the prime minister of Japan Naoto Kan”.

The visit has a prime importance for both the nations as France and japan are holding talks as far as the peaceful use of nuclear energy is concerned since the year 1972. Another purpose of the visit is the expertise of France as far as its management of nuclear power plants is concerned.

Top official of the industrial and nuclear safety agency of japan, Nidehiko Nishiyama said, “At the present stage, there is damage from reactors 1 to 3 and there could be the possible leakage in the commitment vessel also. These problems can be in all the nuclear reactors from 1 to 3”.

Mr Nishiyama further said, “If the cooling does not work out in proper manner, there can be a greater damage and this can lead to further release of radioactive materials in the fuel. This is the thing we need to avoid”

He further said, “The levels of plutonium samples detected in the soil are same as in the environment”.
