Fully Automated Parking System In Mumbai
Mumbai: On Monday a company official said that India’s first robot operated multi level car parks that can collectively provide accommodation more than 1,100 vehicles will occur at two private commercial building projects in the city.
According to its chairman Hemant Shah, the parking system will cover up an area of more than 1.5 lakh square feet and the fully automatic multi level underground projects at the new upcoming projects Ackruti Star and Ackruti Solari, being developed by Ackruti City in Andheri east.
Mr. Shah said that, the Ackruti Star with a capability of more than 350 vehicles will be accomplished by mid September while the second complex Ackruti Solaris with a capability of over 750 vehicles will be accomplished in starting March 2011 and finishing March 2012.
Mr. Shah added that, “With this new system, parking or retrieval will be very quick. It would take less than a minute, compared to the existing around five minutes.” He explained the security system of the project and said that all vehicle owners would be prearranged security swipe cards which would make sure completely safety from damages or theft.
The parking system would be completely automated without any human interface and it would have two sub stations for 100 % round the clock power backup.
According to Shah the company is planning to set up this kind of parking systems across the country in its forth coming projects.
