Golden Globe Paves The Way To Oscars

Last Sunday witnessed one of the big budgeted parties of Hollywood in Los Angeles-the Golden Globes. An award, stamping best of performers from silver screen world of entertainment, recognized the excellence of performing art.

“Artist”, a movie delineating the love affairs of an actor, showcases the transformation of movies from silent pictures to talkies. This movie snatches three Golden Globes- one is for best musical or comedy, best actor in musical comedy.

French actor Jean Dujardin gave his thanking speech and names all his colleagues. While George Clooney, the veteran actor received the award for the best actor in a dramatic movie, “The Descendants”. This movie is even named with the best dramatic movie.

While, Meryl Streep took away the award for her portrayal of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, “The Iron Lady” displays the positive traits of the Prime Ministers character.

Michelle Williams for her performance in the movie-“My week With Marilyn” got the best actress in the role of Marilyn Monroe.  The elderly actor Christopher Plummer won over the best actor in supporting role in “Beginners”.

The marvelous host Gervais, taking all the audience attention made his way the sparkling party venue. The award distribution ceremony and winners of various categories will surely catch the attention of the Academy Awards nominations, which is scheduled on January 24, 2012.

The Golden Globes winner movies “Artist”, “The Descendants” and “The Help” will surely get the focal point of Oscar lime light. Paving the way to the most prestigious silver screen award, Golden Globe seems to bask in the Sun of newly attained Success.
