Hero Of “Night Of The Living Dead” Passed Away At 75

Bill Hinzman, the horror hero died out of cancer at the age of 75. He casted the role as a zombie in the 1968 cult film “Night of the Living Dead”. This film crowned him with long lasting admiration from the audience as horror movie hero.

Director George Romero had chosen him to play the zombie in this film in the opening sequence of the movie. Ruminating the past, the producer of the film said, and the audition of the film was really very hard. Bill was though present there being very old and very thin looking. He wore an old suit.

Dressed in that cloth, Hinzman went to a cemetery and attacked a few pair of young siblings by chasing them and knocking their heads on tombstone.

Fan following of his is a large number of people who like to call him as No. 1 zombie. His role in the movie was played quite dramatically and fought with the Hinzman.

He was very popular and very much accessible to the fans, added Steiner in his report. He kept on directing movies and was star too in 1980s horror movies –“The Majorettes” and “FleshEater”.

Expressing his last week, he wished that he wanted to be cremated after death. Jokingly he said to his daughter if they bury him, he may come back. Ending an era of entertainment, the hero and the perfect zombie has slept forever.
