History of Kissing

Kissing has always been a medium of emotional and physical attachment for couple. Kissstory a book written on history of kissing, and it also reveals that not every kissing is romantic. It has taken instances from history to support their point.

In the year 1562 Naples considered kissing a public offence and the penalty was death.

“Kiss” has been derived from the German word ‘kussjan because of the sound it makes. In a life period of 70 years, a common man spends about 336 hours on kissing. French Kiss in India is known as English Kiss in Asiatic countries.

Indian cinema first saw kissing scene in an English film in the year 1926. But prior to that in the year 1922 movie ‘Manslaughter’ carried smooching between two lesbian. In the year 1927 movie called wings saw first male vs. male kiss. Later in 2005 film called ‘Brokeback Mountain’ depicted the first sexual relationship between male counterparts. Don Jaun a movie of launched in the year 1926  saw 191 kiss and  it holds the record of filming most number of kisses in a movie. The longest ever kiss lasted for more than a day, i.e. 31hrs 30 min.

Kissing is always a fun but the book also makes aware the kisser about its cons as one kiss contains about 278 types of unique bacteria. However one passionate kiss can increase hormone levels that can result in shortening our life by a minute.
