Hole Appears In An American Airline At 31,000 Feet
This news can shock you but its true that an American Airlines took off from Miami International Airport to Boston abruptly got a 2-foot hole at 31,000 feet. Officials are investigating how the hole appeared at the central body of the flight headed to Boston.
The federal authorities spokesperson remarked, the Boeing 757-200, carrying 154 passengers and six crew members, lost cabin pressure about a half hour after the plane take off from Miami International Airport.
The authorities also claimed that the hole appeared near a cabin door towards the fuselage.
Tim Smith, American Airlines spokesman, said the press that the crew immediately declared an emergency and made a safe landing, no passenger of the plan got injuries.
However, the passengers of the flight were terrified when oxygen bags dropped and the plane was descending very fast and loud. Also, the Lights and noises were going on and off. The passengers were crying out of fear “Edward Croce tells Miami television station WSVN”.
Well, everything went well when the plane landed safely to the Miami Airport.
Smith remarked, the plane was taken out of service. A team of American engineers and maintenance technicians was trying to figure out what exactly happened, and was conferring with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Boeing.
An NTSB spokesman says the reason of hole is metal fatigue.
