Indefinite Curfew In Prime Towns Of Kashmir

[private]In all major towns of Kashmir valley, curfew was imposed for an indefinite period among violence and series of protests. The situation has become tense as the death toll has risen to four so far. Reports have clearly talked about sporadic protests in different parts of valley.

As per the reports, among the seventy people who were injured, two died. This was clear news from the spokespersons of the police. The names of the deceased are Mohammed rafiq and another Mohammed rafiq who was thirty years of age.

As per the official reports, the curfew was imposed as a precautionary measure so as to subside the violent protests. The curfew passes of many people have been cancelled. On the 6th of July also, the curfew passes were cancelled as the army was put on guard in the city.

On Friday, the security forces opened fire in order to scatter the stone Pelters who were advancing quite fiercely.  In the operation in north Kashmir, two people named Shoukat Ahmad Chopan and Mohammad Ahsan Ganai were shot dead by the security forces in the areas of north Kashmir.

The people’s opposition party of Kashmir came strongly against the situation and said that such conditions could in fact make the situation much worse. Mohd dilawar mir of the PDP said clearly that the government could not tackle the situation in an effective manner.[/private]
