United States national Intelligence council and European Union Institute for Security has jointly done a survey has jointly issued a report after a survey. The Report “Global Governance 2025” revels that India is the fourth most powerful country followed by China at third European Union at second and America at the top.

The report is astonishing even for Indians because in between the confusion and turmoil of Common wealth Games preparation and lots of other small problems disseminated finely across the country, India stood to the top position. America topped the list with approximately 22% of the global power. China and India was following US with 12% and 8% respectively. European Union jointly account for 16% of Global power. The other powerful nations like Brazil, Russia, and Japan was less than 5%.

The report is based on the fact that an “International Futures model” calculating defense spending, GDP, population and technology for individual states projects the comparative political and financial influence of several nations will move by 2025. According to them power of Japan United States, European Union and Russia would turn down whereas power of countries like India Brazil and China would amplify.
