Japan Expects Volcanic Eruptions

Tokyo: Due to volcanic eruptions in the area, hundreds of people in southern Japan were evacuated on Monday by local authorities.
According to Kyodo news, some 610 people from the town of Takaharu on the southern island of Kyushu had to be evacuated to four shelters on Monday morning.
Town officials have asked 1,100 residents to leave their homes around Shinmoedake- a mountain in Kirishima volcanic range.
This alert was issued by Japan Meteorological Agency that said, the lava dome on 1,421-metre volcano had been on rise.
In 189 years, Shinmoedake has been experiencing small volcanic eruptions since Wednesday spewing ash and rocks during its first significant activity.
