Jesuit Priests of US Will Pay For Sex Abuse

Washington : As per an order, the US catholic priests will pay a ransom of around 103.3 million pound sterling to many Native Americans who were sexually abused by these clergymen in schools.

As per the reports, the students of Jesuit schools claimed sexual abuse from the year 1940 to 1990s. These schools are mostly located in the five states located in the north western part of United States.

As per a settlement, the Jesus society in the province in Oregon will also seek apology from these people to the victims.

As per the order, because of the payment of claims, there can be bankruptcy.

Clarita verges, the victim of sexual abuse said, “ It is a day of justice and reckoning.  These acts wounded my spirit but I am feeling better now.”

The five schools were the abuse took place are Idaho, Alaska, Montana, Washington and Oregon.
The general victims of abuse were Native Americans and the act occurred in villages where the problem priests worked.

As per lawyer Blaine Tamaki who represented the 90 case victims, “ No amount of money will bring back lost childhood, shattered faith or destroyed culture.”

Till date, this payout is largest by Catholic Church as far as sexual abuse is concerned.
