NEW DELHI:  Lakme Fashion Week is one of the most glamorous and prestigious trade event shows in India. It is about to enter its second decade of glamour and glitz. So be ready to have a lot of fun and excitement in the upcoming summer fashion week that is going to be held from 1st -6th March, 2012.

Usually the event is full of speed and style lasting for five days. Each one of the work is a symbol of unbelievable design and craftsmanship. The show has got its own creative and innovative concept of the designers, who are there to reveal their inspirations and their timeless creations. The colorful presentation, creativity and the style floating down the ramp, makes this fashion show amazing in the true sense of the term.

All these are expected to happen in the forthcoming session also. A flock of celebrities are also expected to come. The names of the designers, who will participate, have not been disclosed yet.

“We are looking forward to aligning our seasons where designers have enough lead time to maximize business opportunities and meet production deadlines,” said Anjana Sharma, director Fashion at IMG Reliance organiser of the fashion fiesta.

She says that with summer-resort 2012, the team will try to blend the concept of resort wear and continue to promote and mentor talent in coming fashion shows.
