Lionel Messi May Retire Back In Argentina

Barcelona ace Lionel Messi indicated his plans for first time of finishing his playing career in native Argentina. He also expressed he will not consider moving to Los Blancos or any other club in Europe.

The ace striker is presently in Buenos Aires to prepare for Copa America, that begins for the Sergio Batista’s side with the Group A opener on Friday against Bolivia.

He left his country at a young age for joining the youth academy of Barcelona. In past he was silent when questioned about his playing for any Argentine club.

The Newell’s Old Boys president, Guillermo Llorente, stated he is regularly communicating with Messi for convincing him to finish his career in Rosario.

The 24 years old player revealed he is thinking to retire in Primera Division, in which he never appeared.

Messi remarked, “If I leave Barcelona, it will be to return to Argentina and there I will probably retire.”

The superstar also ruled out the chances to leave Barca and join Real Madrid.

He added, “No, I don’t think so, I wouldn’t even go anywhere else (in Europe). I am happy right now in Barcelona. I am feeling great and I want to finish here until I come to Argentina.”
