Mcafee Software Users’ PC Can Become Spam Server
One of the popular names in the anti-virus software industry McAfee warned its users about its one of the products. This could make users’ computer vulnerable to attacks and hackers can use it to distribute spam.

McAfee is unit of chipmaker Intel Corp, revealed this information on their website Wednesday.
Ian Bain, McAfee spokesman said “least one customer had fallen victim to such an attack, which leveraged a flaw in a service offering known as McAfee SaaS for Total Protection.”
The anti-virus protects its users from hidden viruses in e-mail and websites. According to Bain the flaw was in a piece of application which in installed in the computer of user enable them to use services.
Bain said, “While the flaw could enable hackers to send spam from machines of McAfee SaaS for Total Protection customers, it does not grant them access to data on an affected PC”.
He further added that company’s engineers have already started working on the bug and soon (on Thursday) they will fix the issue.
