Microsoft Office Reaches 31% By Strong Official Sales

A sharp jump is reported by technology giant Microsoft in quarterly profit. It happened because of the strong sale of its office applications despite the drop in sale of its Windows operating system.
By the end of March the net income of three months was $5.23bn, a year ago the firm made a rise of 31% on the $4bn. And the revenue rose to 13% to 16.43bn.
According to the company it achieved a strong result despite a mixed PC environment. From Windows 7 the revenue fell by 4%.
On the expectation of overall revenue despite beating analyst the trading fell slightly in the shares of Microsoft in after hours. This was because of the reflect concerns about the core Windows sales of the company.
At BGC financial Colin Gillis said “The concern is PC markets are being disrupted”.
A year earlier revenues in all other business areas picked up. The revenue of the firms Devices and Entertainment division grew up by 60% as driven by sales of Kinect controllers and Xbox consoles.
Chief financial officer Peter Klein said sale of Office 2010, Xbox and Kinect is rising at tremendous rate and all size businesses are purchasing Microsoft platforms and applications.
