Movie On Bruce Lee’s Early Life Set For Release
A new movie on Bruce Lee is set to release two days prior to his 70th birth anniversary on 27 November. It is a Chinese language project of $4.6 million that focuses on the early life of actor. The movie is named “Bruce Lee, My Brother” and it traces its incidents as remembered by the actor’s siblings. It emphasizes on his growing years in Hong Kong prior to going to U.S. for studies.
Manfred Wong, producer of the movie, said, “Many people know about his movies and his fighting philosophy after he became famous. But very few people know about his family, his parents, his first love, what he did on movie sets as a young actor.”
Lee worked as an instructor of martial arts in U.S. before featuring in television series called “The Green Hornet”. He came back to Hong Kong after some time. He later on gave hit films like “Fist of Fury” and “The Big Boss”. He died in 1973 at an age of 32 due to brain swelling.
Aarif Lee is playing the lead role in this film. He did not know much about Bruce Lee before this role but later on he was very much impressed by him.
Aarif Lee remarked, “He was a very charismatic young man when what most people know about him was his fighting. But actually there’s much more of Bruce Lee.”
