NATO Seeks Apology For The Afghan Airstrikes

Kabul : The international forces located in Afghanistan have sought apology for the air strike which led to the death of 14 civilians. This incident has taken place in the south western part of the country.
As per the statement of the senior generals of NATO, first priority is to prevent causalities to civilians. The cases have been taken in a very serious manner.
The president of Afghanistan hamid karzai had condemned the strike earlier in Helmand. He further said Kabul has asked the US to halt raids responsible for civilian killings and this could be considered as last warning. The white house has shared concerns of Mr Karzai and has taken his statements very seriously.
There was a joint statement issued on Monday by patreus, lt gen david Rodriguez and marine general john toolan. As per the release, the air strike was launched after death of US marine and the compound was taken over by 5 insurgents in the district of nawzad. The fight continued.
As per the generals, there were civilians also in the building and among them nine had been killed. Earlier, the afghan officials had stated that two women and 12 children are dead.
The statement of the general further added that there was a full investigation already in place. The ISAF [ international security assistance force] “will ensure that we make amends with the families in accordance with Afghan culture”
The office of the president karzai said, “The president called this incident a great mistake and the murdering of Afghanistan’s children and women, and on behalf of the Afghan people gives his last warning to the US troops and US officials in this regard”.
These people carried corpses and said they are not Taliban. Many civilian deaths take place in Afghanistan and the anger deepens among people because of such deaths.
