Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Niko Kranjcar believes they have an unbelievable squad for the Champions League. He is confident that they will prove themselves in the event.

Tottenham scored a fantastic 6-3 victory over Young Boys on aggregate and marched into the group stage of the prestigious Champions League. They are placed in a tough group ahead which includes defending champions Inter Milan, Twente and Werder Bremen. They have a difficult ladder to climb to qualify for the knockout rounds.

The Croatian player said, “I said from the first day I arrived here that Tottenham is a club geared up to play Champions League football. The squad we have here is unbelievable, we have very, very good players and it really is set up for us to prove ourselves now.”

26 year old Kranjcar is very keen to give consistent performance in this event and make a mark in it. He added, “We should be competing at this level and should now try to push on and become a regular side in the Champions League. We are not going into the group stages just to participate. Our goal is to progress from the group and we believe we have the quality to do that.”

He has high enthusiasm for the forthcoming matches. He also said, “It’s my first time at this stage as well, it’s a great feeling and I can’t wait to be involved in the big games coming up.”
