Nokia Plans To Setup Messenger Services Server In India

Nokia Plans NEW DELHI: World’s largest mobile manufacturer Nokia said on Monday that the company would make active its server in India for routing data for messenger services from 5 November, the service will help to maintain security requirements and addition security agencies have been cleared its services.

Vice president Nokia India, D Shiva Kumar said on the sidelines of a mobile phone launch event that, “Our server for the messenger services will be active in the country by November 5″.

The company tried to dispel any doubts that its messenger services could convene the similar providence as BlackBerry and come under the security agencies’ scanner.

Kumar said that, “We had met home ministry officials about a month ago. Our services are safe.”

Industry source said that the controversy of BlackBerry services makes fear so sales of the Finnish firms smart phone have risen, because may BlackBerry user not be able to send message with their device anymore.

The Nokia Company launched two new mobile phones which aims rural Indian market with Dual SIM mobile phones. The model called C1-00 and C2-00 and price starts from ` 1999 and the company decided to start selling these phones from September.
