North Eastern Japan Hit by Earthquake of Magnitude 7.3

Tokyo : An earthquake of magnitude 7.3 hit north east part of Japan. This triggered a tsunami warning. The area has been already recovering from killer wave 4 months before. Tremor hit at 9.57 morning local time. There is no report of major damage or injury. Residents living in coastal areas were evacuated for a period of 2 hours. The tsunami warning has been lifted. The epicenter of earthquake has been off coast of Main Island Honshu located in Pacific Ocean.

As per the experts, there is no danger to Hawaii and nuclear power plant located in this region is not affected. On 11th of March, north coast of japan was hit by 9.0 earthquake. This is considered as strongest in history of Japan.

Tsunami generated because of this earthquake triggered nuclear crisis in Fukushima daiichi plant besides 23000 dead or missing. After this calamity, a dozen of aftershocks have rocked the region including 5.6 quake off Honshu in pacific.

This was reported by geological survey of US. Because of March 11 tragedies, buildings are still weak structurally and earthquakes on a smaller scale can do damage.
