The new application invented by Peter Bentley and the application called ‘iStethoscope’, the new application can monitors heartbeat via sensors in the iPhone and you feel it as just a bit of fun. Presently more than three million doctors from across the world are signing up for the free application.
Peter Bentley said to British Media that, “Everybody is very excited about the potential of the adoption of mobile phone technology into the medical workplace, and rightly so. Smartphones are incredibly powerful devices packed full of sensors, cameras, high-quality microphones with amazing displays.” “They are capable of saving lives, saving money and improving healthcare in a dramatic fashion, and we carry these massively powerful computers in our pockets,” he said.
According to Bentley, he invented the application as a fun toy but the medical field experts have said that the application is an important and advance in medical technology which help to save lives and enabled doctors in remote areas to access expertise.
The experts said that it might possible for people that in future they could conduct their own monitor blood pressure and ultrasounds through smart phones.
