People who have been spending money on organic fruits and vegetables are in shock now. It has been revealed by a new study that organic vegetables and fruits are less nutritious and do nor taste better compared to those grown using chemicals.

But organic food is beneficial for environment. A trial was taken for three garden crops, broccoli, potatoes, and tomatoes and it was found that the non-organic items were more nutritious and tastier as reported by Daily Express.

In case of broccoli when grown normally contain higher level of antioxidants than organic sample. Researchers of consumer group found that potatoes grown using chemical fertilizer contains more Vitamin C.

The non-organic tomatoes flavored sweeter compared to their counterparts, as per 69 percent of tasters. According to nutritionist Carina Norris the research shows that food grown with chemicals also contains plenty of nutrition in them. But the important thing is to eat such food whether they are organic or not.
