At Oxford University Student Fined For Keeping A Chicken

At Oxford University a graduate student is fined for keeping a live chicken at her accommodation and another one was fined £78.07 for storing a hay bale in her room. And many others were punished for trashing rooms, throwing eggs, and for disturbing their neighbors with antics.

The frustrated deans every year put a fine of nearly £30,000 for bad behaviors and several hours of penalty services as per the figures. The fine starts from £62 for library issues and up to £300 for other mischief and noise pollution.

The students of St Edmund Hall College pay the highest amount of penalties and it is considered by Director of Public Prosecutions Keir Starmer and the late broadcast journalist Sir Robin Day. In previous the college collected fine of nearly £2,500.

According to the figures released under the Freedom of Information Act in all universities mostly students are fined for their bad behavior.  As per the documents one of the Oxford students was warned for keeping his fellow undergraduates awake with the sound of loud sex. And two male undergraduates were kept in 10 hours of penalty service when they were caught throwing eggs in residence.
