Islamabad : Pakistan conducted the flight tests of the self designed cruise missiles. These have the capacity to shoot the nuclear warheads with the fine accuracy.

The range of this cruise missile named half 8 Rad is 350 km. The design is of the missile is solely based from the Ariel platforms.

The statement said, “Cruise technology is extremely complex and has been developed by only a few countries in the world. The state of the art Ra’ad Cruise Missile with Stealth Capabilities is a Low Altitude, Terrain Hugging Missile with high maneuverability, and can deliver nuclear and conventional warheads with great pin point accuracy.”

The success of this launch has been well appreciated by the president, the PM and the chairman of the joint chiefs of Pakistan. They congratulated the scientists and engineers for extraordinary achievement.

The literal meaning of the Arabic word Rad means thunder and this weapon has the capacity to give Pakistan a perfect defense against both land as well as sea. The analysts of the defense have said this missile can be shot from all of the fighter planes of the air force.

This can also be targeted against the ships or the ground objects. There is probability of low detection for this missile because of its stealth design. This weapon has provided the stand off capability to Pakistan and this is the prime benefit.
