Pele Considers The Barcelona Play Style As An Example For Future
Brazil soccer legend Pele hopes that the Barcelona’s play style would get emulated by the future teams because he feels skill will finally win over strength.

Pele has compared this Barcelona side to the dominating clubs in the earlier time such as Ajax, Benfica, Real Madrid and AC Milan. He believes the key for success is having a unit of players playing together till long time.
Pele remarked, “Barcelona’s style is the football people want to see and I really hope it’s the blueprint for the future. I really hope skill wins out over strength.”
He pointed Germany plays a more technical style of game in the present time and that’s what people are keen to see. He emphasized the ball should be moving, and not players. He feels this can be achieved only with teams who are very well-organized.
He added, “I’ve been watching this Barca side a lot lately and they’re like Santos were in my heyday, or the great Benfica, Ajax, AC Milan and Real Madrid sides.”
The Barcelona team has won Champions League title three times during the last six years. Moreover, they also have won the Club World Cup title twice in this time period.
