(SHM News) – Belgium: On Tuesday, a grenade attack happened in an eastern Belgium city wherein 5 people were died and around 119 injured.

Katrin Delcourt, spokeswoman from governor office of Liege provincial said a 23 years old person died in late night of Tuesday in hospital after getting injury nearby Christmas market. Other people were also died in it including two young boys and an old lady.

Around 52 injured were taken to the hospital nearby the disaster place. A spokeswoman from Liege police stated that the number of death can increase.

Nordine Amrani from the Liege Reynders stated that the attack was recognized and they are taking strong actions to prevent future unforeseen circumstances.

Attacker also died in it after throwing 3 grenades in crowd. He fired as well from his weapons. The whole incident happened near to the court building.

Liege local citizen of Kevin Hauzeur said he moved inside the cover to protect himself the time he heard “huge explosion and two or three gunshots”.

Statements came from all part of the world about the deadly attack. William Hague, the foreign secretary of UK said “There can be absolutely no place for appalling acts of violence such as this in any society, and I condemn this attack in the strongest terms.”
